Download ReelIQ from the App Store and start logging catches immediately. No account, email, or sign-up is required. All your data is stored privately on your iPhone. Open the app and you're ready to log your first catch — it's that simple.

ReelIQ gives you four ways to log a catch: Take a Photo, Choose from Library, Enter Manually, or Measure with AR. Pick whichever works for the moment. When you log a catch, ReelIQ automatically captures your GPS location, weather conditions (temperature, wind, barometric pressure), estimated water temperature, and moon phase. You just focus on the fish — the app handles the details.

Your Catches screen shows every fish you've logged. Use the collapsible filter bar at the top to narrow things down by species, water body, or date range. The custom date picker lets you look back at any time period — great for comparing seasons or revisiting a productive trip from last year. A built-in search bar helps you find specific catches quickly.

Every catch you log gets a pin on your private map. Toggle the heatmap overlay to see your hotspots at a glance. Filter by species, water body, or date range to focus on exactly what you're looking for. Tap any pin to see the full catch details, and navigate to any spot with one tap.

The Identify screen is where you start logging a catch. Take a photo (or choose one from your library) and ReelIQ's on-device AI identifies the species instantly — no internet needed. It recognizes 774 species and works completely offline. You'll see a confidence score with every identification. After the AI identifies your fish, you can review the details, make any changes, and save the catch to your log.

ReelIQ analyzes your catch history to surface patterns you'd miss on your own — your best time of day, ideal weather conditions, effective baits, and productive spots for every species. The personalized 7-day fishing forecast scores each day 0-100 based on YOUR patterns combined with real weather data. The solunar calendar tracks moon phases and feeding periods, and shows how your catches correlate with lunar activity over time.

In Settings, you can set up your profile (name, photo, and home location), configure Quick Log Defaults to pre-fill trip conditions for faster logging, and manage your fishing data — custom species, baits, lures, techniques, structure types, and water bodies. You can also choose between Imperial and Metric units, select your country and state for regional species filtering, and customize how your catch data is displayed.

ReelIQ offers two home screen widgets: Season Stats (total catches, top species, biggest fish this season) and Last Catch (your most recent catch with photo and details). To add them, long-press your home screen, tap the + button, search for ReelIQ, and choose a widget. They update automatically so you can see your fishing data at a glance without opening the app.

All your fishing data — catches, photos, GPS coordinates, and analytics — stays on your iPhone. The AI runs entirely on your device. No account is needed, no data is sent to our servers, and your spots are never shared unless you choose to. If you delete the app, all your data is permanently removed. There's nothing stored in the cloud for us to access.
